Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Draft template — not yet legal advice. Review this with a lawyer and fill in the bracketed details (legal entity, jurisdiction, retention periods) before publishing. It reflects how the app currently works, but your obligations depend on where you and your users are located.

Who we are

LuckyLGS (“we,” “us”), operated by Lucky Neko Development Studio, provides software that local game stores use to run events, take registrations, and manage their community. This policy explains what we collect and why. For questions, contact keelanbell77@gmail.com.

We act as a data controller for the accounts and data of the stores that use our platform, and as a processor on behalf of those stores for the player/customer data they collect through us.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email, and login credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we don't store them in plain text).
  • Store information: store name, description, location/hours, branding, and timezone.
  • Player / registration information: the name and email of people who RSVP or register for events, plus any notes a store adds to a player's record, and their Discord ID if connected.
  • Payment information: handled by Stripe. We store identifiers and status (e.g. a Stripe account id, payment status, amounts) but never full card numbers or bank credentials.
  • Technical information: basic logs, device/browser information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

How we use information

  • To provide the service: create accounts, publish events, take RSVPs and registrations, and show stores their attendees.
  • To process payments through Stripe (the store is the merchant of record).
  • To send transactional messages such as event confirmations and reminders.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. [Confirm this remains accurate for your business.]

Payments and Stripe

Payments are processed by Stripe. When a store connects Stripe, it onboards directly with Stripe and card/bank details are entered on Stripe's pages, not ours. Stripe's handling of that data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. See our Trust & compliance page for more.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the platform, and with the store you interact with:

  • The store whose event you register for (they see your registration and contact details).
  • Stripe, for payments and identity verification.
  • Our hosting and database provider (Supabase / Postgres) and app host (Vercel).
  • Our email provider, for transactional messages. [Update if you add SMS or other tools.]
  • Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights and safety.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it within [RETENTION PERIOD], unless a longer period is required by law (for example, financial records). [Set concrete periods with your lawyer.]

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email keelanbell77@gmail.com. If a store collected your data through us, we may direct your request to that store as the controller of that data.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use them for third-party advertising. [Update this section if you add analytics or marketing cookies.]

Children

The service is not directed to children under [13/16], and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Stores are responsible for any additional consent required when minors attend their events.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, a notice in the app.
